Pop God is Dead!

Jun. 26th, 2009 | 09:49 am
location: The middle of sadness
mood: melancholymelancholy
music: Thriller. Over and over again.

I come to you today with great sadness, acknowledging the loss of the greatest entertainer in the history of mankind. For me he was more than that, he was my idol, he was a role model, he was someone to cry to when my childhood was unbearable, he was a brother, he was a dear friend. Unfortunately Michael and I had a falling out on September 10th 2001 and that broken friendship had never been repaired … I am filled with tremendous sadness and remorse. All I choose to remember from this point is the good times we shared and what an inspiration he was to me and the rest of the world. Nobody will ever be able to do what Michael Jackson has done in this industry, and he was so close to doing it all again. I am truly, and deeply sorry for all of the heartbroken fans and supporters worldwide.

I can't stop crying over the sad news. I have always admired Michael Jackson. The world has lost one of the greats, but his music will live on forever! My heart goes out to his three children and other members of his family. God bless.

I am so very sad and confused with every emotion possible. I am heartbroken for his children, who I know were everything to him, and for his family. This is such a massive loss on so many levels, words fail me.

My heart is overcome with sadness for the devastating loss of my true friend Michael. He was an extraordinary friend, artist and contributor to the world. I join his family and his fans in celebrating his incredible life and mourning his untimely passing.

I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words.

He was a kind, genuine, and wonderful man. He was also one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. I loved him very much and I will miss him every remaining day of my life.

Thanksgiving and update

Oct. 18th, 2008 | 08:38 am

So I'll be back in town for about four days or so around thanksgiving. Anyone want to hang a bit? Let me know and I can try to squeeze you in between family/thanksgiving time, colleen time and hetero-man-love with nick time.

In other news, nothing to really report. I've decided against going back to WoW for the foreseeable future and am instead going to pick up Warhammer Online. Apparently fun will be had, at least according to Mr. Nick

Fable II is still on my list, although I'll most likely pick it up at the beginning of November instead of at launch. Ditto for Fallout 3.

Incidentally, Dead Space looks fairly awesome, so that may be on the list as well. If you liked Resident Evil 4 and feel like dismembering the shit out of space zombies, consider picking it up.

Doing fairly well here at Offutt. It definitely gets cold as fuck here, and apparently it will continue to get worse. I'm definitely glad I didn't join up back when I was 18ish, as I'm fairly certain I would spend most of my free time in a drunken stupor like most of the people seem to do here.

Anywho, that's about it, hope things are well.

I'm alive!

Aug. 7th, 2008 | 11:52 pm

Hey all, been awhile since I've updated anything. I can probably say now that I am officially settled in Nebraska as I've just got my dorm wired up to the 'net (which is pretty much my standard for being settled anywhere). Things are going fairly well, my top secret clearance went through, I'm NOT doing a programming job (unfortunately), but the job they have given me seems interesting/educational enough and it looks like I'll have plenty of time to pursue a degree once I get done with my career development training (which happily enough will be in programming). It looks like if I decided to push it I could have a bachelors in computer science within a couple of years. So I'll probably definitely have one before my enlistment is up.

I miss you folks, I'll try to keep y'all posted on when I'll be around. Now that I'm officially online I should be a lot easier to keep in touch with. Ta!

I'm Back

Jun. 28th, 2008 | 06:21 pm

Sort of.

I'll be on leave from about the 15th through the 26th, and if you people feel like seeing me you should probably let me know and perhaps we can have some sort of party or some such (as it is also my birthday as well as my tech school graduation!) My apologies for being out of touch, as the internet here is...prohibitively expensive and it also sucks.

Some updates for those whom I haven't been able to catch up with, I should be graduating out in Computer Programming on the 14th (assuming no issues passing my tests, which, considering I'm maintaining about a 95% average, shouldn't be a problem). I'm currently assigned to go to Offutt, NE where it looks like I'll be stationed for at least two years. Chances of deployment seem slim, so odds are good I'll have all my parts when it's all done. That's really about it, hope to see some of you when I'm back, catch you later!

So I finally have a ship date for the Air Force. I'm slated to head out of here February 19. Hopefully something can be arranged where I can see people before I leave.

Stay Frosty

Dec. 3rd, 2007 | 07:01 pm

You are the frost that threatens the fall harvest. People look at you and see eternity, but that's not the real you. When anything happens, scream. No one will hear you, and it's great for relieving stress.

  • Biorhythmic Cycle: None
  • Power Animal: Claw shrimp
  • Be Sure to Avoid: Stepping on cracks in the pavement
  • Interrogation Resistance: Pleasant breath

Take the Quiz!!
